Property & Financial Affairs LPA (Couples)
Financial protection for both of you. Aaron sets up Property & Financial LPAs together — one consultation, one fee. Save £150 vs two individual LPAs.

Aaron Johnson
Consultant Solicitor & TEP
“I believe legal planning should feel straightforward, not stressful. That's why I handle everything personally — from our first conversation through to the final signature. No hand-offs, no jargon, no surprises. I'm a full member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP), which means I bring specialist expertise in inheritance tax, trusts, and estate planning. But I explain everything in plain English, because that's what you deserve. Every matter is on a fixed fee. You'll always know what you're paying before you commit. And if something takes longer than expected, that's my responsibility — not yours.”

Learn more about AaronFinancial Protection for Both of You
This service prepares Property & Financial Affairs LPAs for you and your partner together. Each of you gets your own legally independent document, but Aaron handles everything in one efficient process — one consultation, one signing appointment, one fee.
If one of you were suddenly unable to manage your finances, the other would need legal authority to access bank accounts, pay bills, or sell property. Without an LPA, even a spouse can be locked out of joint decisions.
Having both documents prepared together saves time and money (£150 compared to two individual LPAs), and ensures your arrangements work in harmony.
Who Is This For?
- Couples who want to protect each other's financial interests
- Partners approaching retirement who want arrangements in place early
- Couples with joint property, savings, or investments
- Anyone who wants to avoid the cost and stress of a Court of Protection application
What's Included in Your Fixed Fee
- A joint consultation covering financial circumstances and preferences for each person
- Two individually drafted Property & Financial LPAs
- Guidance on attorney choices and how they should work together
- Aaron acts as Certificate Provider for both documents
- Supervised signing in one appointment
- Full OPG registration for both LPAs (OPG fees: £184 total — £92 per LPA)
- Save £150 compared to two separate individual LPAs
What's Not Included (Available If You Need Them)
- Medical capacity assessment (per person) — if concerns arise about capacity, a formal medical opinion may be required. This is a third-party cost set by the GP or specialist (quoted separately)
- Complex or unusual instructions/restrictions — bespoke conditions beyond standard arrangements (quoted separately)
- Replacement of attorneys after registration (quoted separately)
- Changes to a registered LPA (quoted separately)
Your situation may be entirely straightforward and not require any of these.
What Happens If You Don't Act?
Without LPAs, if either of you loses capacity, the other would need to apply to the Court of Protection — a process costing thousands of pounds that takes many months. During that time, neither of you may be able to access the other's finances, pay household bills, or manage joint property. Two LPAs prepared together avoid this entirely.

What Our Clients Say
“Aaron makes the complex feel simple. He is genuinely approachable, and for the first time, I have total confidence that my affairs are in safe hands”
Mr M
North Yorkshire
“I first contacted Aaron Johnson in 2020 during one of the most difficult periods of my life, and from the very beginning he demonstrated exactly the qualities you hope to find in a solicitor. Aaron handled my late husband Paul's estate with exceptional care, professionalism and attention to detail. He was thorough, consistent and always kept Paul's wishes at the forefront of everything he did. Throughout a complex and emotionally challenging process he remained calm, trustworthy and genuinely supportive — never making me feel rushed or overwhelmed. He finalised the matter in 2023 to my complete satisfaction. Aaron is not just technically excellent — he is a solicitor who truly looks after his clients as people. I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone seeking a solicitor who combines professional expertise with real human compassion.”
C. de Bondt
“Aaron advised and supported (plus actually wrote) my Will. Clearly explaining everything so I fully understood potential risks and could avoid them. Very willing to arrange meetings at a place and time to suit me as I worked full time. Would highly recommend 😁”
