Accessibility statement

The target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), version 2.2, at level AA.

The site partially conforms. That means some parts do not yet fully meet the standard. The known ones are listed below.

Two buttons at the top of every page change how it looks. Larger text is marked AA. Higher contrast is marked with a half-filled circle.

On a phone they are in the menu. Your choice is remembered on this device, and your browser zoom works as usual.

Done so far:

• Automated checks with axe, an accessibility testing engine, on the main types of page.
• Keyboard checks: moving through pages, menus and forms with the keyboard alone, with the focus always visible.

Planned, not yet done:

• A manual check with screen readers: VoiceOver on iPhone and Mac, and NVDA on Windows.

• The screen reader check is not done yet. There may be problems for screen reader users that are not listed here.
• The instruction forms to download are PDFs made for printing, and may not work well with a screen reader. The online questionnaires cover wills, powers of attorney, probate and trusts, or Aaron can take the details by phone.
• The SRA digital badge comes from another company, Yoshki, and loads in a frame this site does not control. The same regulatory details are in text at the foot of every page.
• The link on the SRA badge is named differently from the words it shows, so speech control users may need to say "Verify the SRA regulation" to follow it.
• Outside sites linked from here, such as Google Maps and the SRA register, are not controlled by this site.
