About Keyingham

What Keyingham is like.

Around St Nicholas' Church, Main Street, the mill towers and the A1033.

Keyingham is a village on the A1033, about ten miles east of Hull on the road to Withernsea. It stands on slightly higher ground, which once suited several windmills. Two old mill towers survive, on Mill Road and Ottringham Road. Large horticultural nurseries cover almost as much ground as the village itself.

The legal work that usually comes up

A will is often read after the funeral, so funeral wishes written only there can be missed. A pre-paid funeral plan should be mentioned to the executors, with the provider's name. Funeral wishes are not binding, but executors usually follow what they know. A short note kept with the will, and a copy given to the family, covers both.
