What happens, in order
One call, one meeting, then the wills first.
Aaron takes everything in one sitting, drafts the wills, then the powers of attorney, and registers the powers of attorney for you. Registration with the Office of the Public Guardian takes time; the timescales are shown against each step.
Wills signed within two to four weeks. Powers of attorney drafted alongside; registration then takes eight to ten weeks on GOV.UK’s current figure.

What is included: The fixed fee covers taking instructions from both of you, drafting two mirror wills and supervising the signing of both.
What is not included: Tax advice, a trust in the wills, letters of wishes, statements excluding a beneficiary, capacity assessments, liaising with third parties, foreign assets and severing a joint tenancy. Each is quoted separately as a fixed fee if you need it.
VAT and other costs: VAT at 20 percent is added to the fee. There are no court or registration fees for a will. From first meeting to signing usually takes 2 to 3 weeks.

The fixed fee covers a straightforward LPA. Where a formal mental capacity assessment or medical report is needed, the doctor's fee is a third-party cost. Aaron will discuss and agree any extra cost with you before going ahead.
VAT and other costs: VAT at 20 percent is added to the fee. The Office of the Public Guardian charges £92 to register each LPA (£368 for 4), paid to the OPG with no VAT. The fee is halved for anyone whose income is under £12,000 a year, and people on certain benefits pay nothing. Drafting and signing take 1 to 2 weeks; registration takes 8 to 10 weeks (GOV.UK).
